The U.S. Puts Ukraine on Pause: Europe Starts Considering Life Without America

World politics now revolves around Donald Trump. Following his scandalous meeting with Zelensky, the U.S. president addressed Congress. Europe is reconsidering its trust in the American side and exploring ways to restructure and independently ensure its security.

This was the main topic of discussion on the program “The World as It Is,” hosted by political analyst Buka Petriashvili. He noted: “A serious rupture in transatlantic foundations is underway, initiated by Trump, which demands that Europe take on more responsibility and financial burden for its own security.”

As for Ukraine, following the conflict at the White House, the U.S. has suspended aid to Ukraine— a move that could significantly harm the war-torn country. However, Zelensky expressed concern over the situation and emphasized that he remains open to cooperation. The American side is also not escalating the situation entirely, stating that this is not a termination of support but merely a pause.
