Three years have passed since Russia launched its full-scale war against Ukraine. Today, discussions about ending the war and achieving peace are actively occurring. However, each side has its interests and positions, making an agreement difficult to reach. Naturally, the primary issue remains Ukraine’s security.
The newly elected President of the United States has become actively involved in resolving the problem, and Donald Trump’s statements have completely shifted the direction of many discussions.
This was the main topic of discussion on the program “The World as It Is,” hosted by political analyst Buka Petriashvili.
Another interesting aspect is the relationship between the U.S. and Europe. Trump is meeting with European leaders while making statements about the European Union: “Let’s be honest, the European Union was created to undermine and weaken the United States.” According to him, there is an unequal trade balance between the two, and he plans to impose a 25% tariff. In response, Europe is also expected to take similar measures at a parity level.
