The newly elected US President has made harsh and firm statements, surprising many with his tone toward Ukraine’s President. Trump referred to Zelensky as a dictator, demanded elections from him, and even issued a veiled threat, given the US’s interest in Ukraine’s rare metals.
Meanwhile, Europe is striving to find its role in this new reality. European leaders gathered in Paris but made little progress in clarifying their stance. However, everything is still ahead, especially with the upcoming visit of the French President and the British Prime Minister to the US, alongside the German elections.
